Scene outside the convocation building. It was already 7:30 pm. The rain had stopped and people were going off. It had been a long day. We were tired and hungry. And we were heading back to Kuala Lumpur as well.
I would like to come back to Penang again and spend the time here on a more relaxing pace than we did for the last 5 days. Because of the 9 sessions of graduations that took place from Wednesday to Friday, the city was packed with people and cars.

Flowers & Gifts for Graduates
Lian's Convocation
Sam's Batik House
Friday, 24 August 2007
It is funny! Sister had 1 (maybe 2) business cards from the shop. I asked for 3 business cards with the intention of giving out to friends. I told the ladies in the shop that I would email their bosses and let them know when I have done posting of the pictures, that I took of their shop, into my blog. Funny! Neither Sister and I could find the cards anywhere. We were sure we have them in our handbags and brought them back to Miri. I don't know how many times I search but to no avail. They just disappeared into the thin air!!
***** If you are the owners of the Batik house and reading this posting, please know that I haven't forgot to email you, as I promised to. All the best to your business. *****

I love the selection of clothes in this Batik house in Penang Road.
There are clothes for casual, formal or evening wear and even clothes for belly-dancing!
And lovely handbags to go with.
.......I like this one. I like that one too. Don't know which one to choose! Help..................

Nasi Kandar
Friday, 17 August 2007
What for lunch? What about Nasi Kandar? It is popular in Penang. There were stalls almost everywhere in Penang selling that. So must eat that otherwise our trip to Penang will not be complete.
The stall that we stumbled along the famous Penang Road, happened to be famous as well. Like the Ice Kacang stall yesterday afternoon, people were queuing for their order.
Rice would be scooped onto a plate and you tell the attendant what meat dishes you want and he would dish them on top of the rice. Then you take the plate of food to one of the tables and paid for it after you finished eating.
