Uncle Ni and Sister Monica had been in Kuala Lumpur for 3 days. I had thought about visiting Penang but didn't think that we would really go there until Uncle Ni told me that an uncle of his friend is living there. He is 89 years old.
After contacting Uncle Ni's friend's uncle to confirm that he is still
in Penang and since we are only going to Miri next Friday, we decided to visit Penang for a couple of days.On arriving at the Penang bus terminal, we took a taxi to visit Uncle Ni's friend's uncle. We had a good visit with him and his wife.
Went to Puduraya bus terminal and wanted to buy bus tickets to travel tomorrow morning at 0900 hrs, however all the seats were taken on the 'Transnational" carrier. It was public holiday tomorrow- Wesak Day. Other departure times were 1030, 1600, 1730, 2300 and 2350 on the 'Transnational" but we prefer to the 0900 hrs. There were other carriers but I preferred "Transnational". I have travelled with it before. The only problem with me is that I could not stand the airconditioning - it was very very cold!
We end up buying tickets for the next day, Saturday. The bus will leave leave Puduraya at 0900 hrs and will take about 5-1/2 hrs on the 385 km route. The bus fare was 26.90 Ringgit, each person.
